Technically, no, you don't. That is probably not the answer you were expecting when you clicked on an article titled, "Do You Need Resume Service Writing?", that was written by a resume writing service no less; but it is the truth. There are a number of free resources available online or at your local library that can coach you through the creation of a quality resume. Of course resume writing isn't the only thing you don't need a professional for.

Hi: Great points about resume writing as it's the fundamental building block for job seekers, whether they are looking to find an internship, find a part-time job, or a full-time job. I do agree that it's the first and most important thing to tackle for job seekers, but I would like to point out that just because it's the first doesn't mean a resume should be ignored later in the job search process. Continually reviewing and modifying a resume should be done. For example, resumes should reflect the specific job or industry sector that a job seeker is applying for.

But I liked all of your points and I'm going to recommend it to our job seekers. Thanks!

This is certainly an outstanding write-up. Thanks a lot for spending some time to summarize all this out for folks. It truly is a great guide!

It's always difficult to find the right balance in a resume. Should you tell them everything you have accomplished? How do you get them interested enough in your resume and still have more surprises for them come the interview?

Check out the CPRW or Career Directors International. There are big companies like http://www.resumewriters.com or http://www.resumeservice.com, and even free online resume writing guides like at http://www.resumewriting.com

Job Bored, those options are available if job seekers want them, but we have our advice for job seekers to consider if those aren't viable choices. Everyone should use their best judgement before following any advice. Thanks for the comment!
